THE PEOPLE'S MUSEUM of BROCKTON (arranged, organized, and written by Kara L. McCormack, PhD and area contributors) Kept open from the middle of June, 2017 through late October, 2017 as part of a larger, ongoing collections project of area histories, both public and private. Over the course of its install, which took place over the course of months with instrumental aid from, among others, Fuller Craft Museum, city residents and employees took to the effort by contributing objects of personal and public significance, eventually building an eclectic but wholly relevant and timely portrait of an ever-changing and diverse city that speaks to a wide range of civic conversations and identities largely typical of the greater commonwealth of Massachusetts.
